Your description did get me thinking about doing more with knitting in 2013 – and I’ll attend your workshops vicariously. I forget that handmade really is more unusual these days and makes people happy.
I was really surprised. It turns out that people really do use all the goofy homemade gifts we’ve gotten them over the years- the initial mugs, the aprons, the handmade bags. This year we made hot chocolate mix and gave it in jars we found at the thrift store along with some really excellent Xmas mugs we found at the thrift store in Providence. Nora and Maddy etched reindeer into glasses we found at the same store. I’m a total fan of homemade gifts. It also beats shopping. Plus, Victoria, you make excellent scarves. I wear mine all the time. Soft and warm.
Happy New Year!
Thanks, Jo(e)! You, too!
