Okay — I did it! I walked by the polling station this morning on my way in to work.
Now I have to sit here til 5, when the polls start to close in the east.
Several people in my office are certain there is nothing to worry about.
It’s a funny election — the fact that it’s so close makes it exciting, but the fact that Obama is favored makes it a happy anticipation rather than the dread it would otherwise be. If you’re me, that is. Also exciting because it’s M’s first election. She approached it with great seriousness. And I just heard from N, in Maine, who is on her way now to vote, having been at work since 7.
So . . .
You know what? I really want to have waffles for dinner. Mysterious.
